Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to record what I've learned
about our family history. In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One
of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart.
My name is Janet and I've only been interested in genealogy for a short time and didn't have the resources to look up
much information until I finally got "on-line" last fall. I've had some data on Mom's family for several years, I got
it from her Family Bible. But that was only her Mom and Dad, brothers and sisters.
I must tell you, there are many branches on my family tree, both sides come from large families.
This is
a work in progress, so please contact me if you have any information that might help round out the picture.

Acknowledgments
I got my first family tree maker program from Ancestry.com. It was a free trial for, I think 14 days. Once
I got started, I couldn't stop
I got real luck with Dad's side of the family. His roots are in Kentucky and I got some excellent help from Johnson
County, Kentucky web sites. Evidently those of us with Kentucky roots have at least two common characteristics:
genealogy and creating web sites.
The Ohio side is harder to research. Either there are fewer genealogists or fewer computer geeks.

Dad and Mom |

Before we turned them gray. |
Mom and Dad had 9 kids, one uncle had 9 kids, one aunt had 13 kids, and I'm still trying to remember how many more cusins
are in my generation.
It isn't much at the moment, I'm thinking of changing the whole thing. Maybe to a Dollz site.
